Date & Oat Squares

Yum
There’s a little coffee shop in town that I go to on Sunday mornings; and every time, I order their very delicious dairy-free date & oat slice. So today, as I was enjoying my slice and cup of coffee I thought, “why not bake my own date & oat loaf?”

I scoured the internet, and sure enough I found the perfect recipe, which just so happens to be a healthier version of the Cafe slice, on The Intolerant Gourmet. Her recipe is healthy and vegan friendly, and you can even make it gluten free if you so choose (just swap regular oats with gluten free).

I always have medjool dates and oats on hand (I add them to my banana smoothiestry it, I promise you it's delicious), so luckily, I didn’t even need to buy anything from the market.

Banana Bread

Yum
Opened my fridge today only to discover my very sad, and very brown, bananas...which meant, time to make my “world famous” banana bread.
Now, I don’t like to brag, BUT, I have been making this recipe for years and years—I don’t even know if you can call it a “recipe” seeing as it only consists of a list of ingredients—and EVERYONE loves it.
I wasn't kidding
This is one of the easiest recipes I have on the blog—and by easy, I mean that all you have to do is add all the ingredients in a bowl, and MIX. Even if you have never baked a cake before in your life, you can STILL pull this recipe off. Just try it the next time you have some really brown bananas. And let me know how it goes.
